How do you create a 3D printable cookie cutter?
Cooke cutters of any shape are real easy to 3D model. All you need is a picture or a sketch of an object you want to create the cutter for. Maybe the hardest part is deciding how do dumb down a complex shape in a way that cutter is actually practical to use with dough, pancakes, cheese..., and that cookies won't fall apart once baked. With that in mind you scale the image to the size you want the cutter to be, then use it as background while you trace over the profile. You then extrude the profile to desired height. Basic shape is done. You then in a similar way model the lower supporting part, which gives the cutter its strenght.
This is a video of 3D printing and testing of one of cookie cutters I designed.
